About the UTS Entrance Test
The UTS Test is required of all applicants. It is written in person at the University of Toronto Exam Centre at 255 McCaul Street on Saturday, November 30, 2024.
To register for the UTS Entrance Test you must have completed your application here (pending teacher references, due December 1.)
On test day, be sure to bring:
- Printout of application submission confirmation page
- Photocopy of identification document (eg. photocopy of passport, photocopy of birth certificate)
Do not bring:
- Food or drink, with the exception of a water bottle. If you require medical accommodations, please contact [email protected]
- Calculators
- Cell phones, smart watches, smart glasses, or any digital devices
- Pencil cases, backpacks, or large bags. Pencils will be provided. If the applicant wishes to bring their own pencil or eraser, it must not have any writing or wrappers on it and must be carried in a clear ziplock bag.

The UTS Test consists of an English component and Math component. In total, the UTS test takes approximately 2 hours to complete.

Getting there

Parents and Guardians
- Due to congestion, please avoid parking on McCaul Street. There are paid parking lots on Murray Street, University Avenue, or Dundas Street.
- Please arrive and pick up only during the allotted time. Students will not be permitted to leave early even if they have finished the test.
- Family members may not stay in the building during the test.
- Due to capacity limits in the building, only one parent or guardian should accompany the student to drop off and pick up.
